Mountain Buggy Duet Double Buggy Review

Are you looking for a stroller that has all the characteristics of a single buggy, but can actually hold two? So, you have twin? Finding a really small sized, smooth riding double is a hard thing…especially if you are looking for one that can accommodate twins! My wife gives up easy, so I did all the digging to find a great stroller for our 5m old twins.

We loved Our First Buggy, the baby jogger city select. While it was great for the car seats, it tended to be more than a little hard to push and navigate as the kids grew heavier. Our twins are now able to sit up. So, we decided for a better stroller. My wife thought the Duo was just too big for her and the BOB SE/Flex Duallie too heavy. The City select we had was great for its lightness but we wanted something that would really cut down the weight a notch and something compact, easy to maneuver Mountain Buggy Duet Double Buggy.

I heard the duet from my cousin’s husband. He said how amazing it was and that if I’m lost, I should check it out. I did just that…my wife loved it right from the looks of it. I instantly knew this was the stroller for us. We discovered that it was really more than what had heard about the buggy. Super slim, high performance, durable and came with lots of other amazing features for a double.

My wife convinced me to do this review to help others like us who are confused by the sheer number of available doubles out there. I recommend this stroller. But, I will make my review about the experience I had with it, how well it performed.

Features of the Mountain Buggy Duet Double Buggy

This is a great buggy, loveable in every sense of it. I like the fact that the manufacturers were able to really cut down on size, and a little on the weight without compromising on features and stability. It’s quality, stylish and durable. Here are some of the features that really stood out to me.

The width of this stroller will definitely amaze you as it did me! At 25”, it’s hardly any wider that the city mini single, and almost the same width as the single bob. The size is perfect for our little ones.

Mountain Buggy Duet Double Buggy From afar, you’d easily mistake this double for a single – but it’s really a stroller made for two. It’s small sized but perfect for our little kids. And you’d expect them to be huddled up close together in it…this stroller actually gives more than enough room.

I love that my kids have grown in the stroller and they don’t appear to outgrow it any time soon! That it’s a side by side and it’s easily through any door is amazing. We have yet to find a door that this double can’t fit through.

Impressive Maneuverability

The mobility performance on this buggy is simply impressive. It’s a little on the heavy side when lifting. When it comes to pushing, I bet it performs better that those lightweight doubles you know.

With its swivel lockable 10” wheels, this buggy can handle just About any terrain with ease. You can go right from a sandy area and onto gravel, then the asphalt without noticing any change or difficulty in pushing.

It pushes the same. And the wheels will not rattle or shake! Perhaps, the thing that will impress you more is the fact that you can literary turn this buggy with one hand anywhere – with the kids in it.

Adjustable Handlebar

Mountain Buggy Duet Double Buggy My wife and I are 5” apart in height. Needless to say, a stroller with an adjustable handlebar was a necessity. The Duet Double Stroller has a handlebar that is not just adjustable, but also it can go super tall.

At 6’5” I can pull out the handle bar really high such that I can maintain a good posture hen pushing it. I don’t have to hunch over whenever I push the stroller – I have that problem with other strollers.

My wife loves the handlebar experience. Not only does it accommodate our height difference, but also it is comfortable to handle. It comes nicely padded to make it gentle on the grab. The angle is not Decidedly ergonomic, but it does go easy on the wrists.

Comfortable Seats; Independent Sun Hoods

Joovy Caboose Ultralight Review

I can tell my kids are comfortable in the Mountain Buggy Duet Double Buggy stroller. The seats are nicely padded for comfort and the harness is secure – padded too for additional comfort. They always look forward to the evening rides.

Seat padding work in concert with a great suspension on the wheels to give the kids a ride they enjoy; comfortable and relaxing. Each seat can recline independently for more passenger comfort.

The kids love it when the seats are reclined all the way to a flat position. There is a sun canopy over each seat. It’s made of durable material and helps shield my kids from the horrors of the sun. Each hood draws out independent to suit specific passenger preference.

Compact; Quick Fold

Joovy Caboose Ultralight Review

I love how this buggy folds. It collapses quickly and compactly. It actually makes my work easy. I simply have to pull the strap and the buggy collapses on its own to a fold. It assumes a compact small size form when collapsed.

This makes it easy to transport and store the stroller for another day’s use.Since it’s light and small sized, lifting this stroller to the car truck is not a pain. I have had other strollers – the really massive ones- that would fold quickly but lay on the ground for their heavyweight.

To make things worse, they would be hard to squeeze into the car trunk. I have a small car and mu trunk space is always limited. But, with the Duet double buggy, I always have a little space left to throw in other essentials.

Quality, Durable, Stable

Joovy Caboose Ultralight Review

I would put this buggy right up with other quality strollers. Sometimes I think this buggy to be better for its low price but uncompromising quality and durability. Manufacturers of this buggy were able to cut down on weight and size but still maintain the buy’s stability and sturdiness.

You will appreciate these when rolling on bumpy terrains. You would mistake this stroller for a single stroller at first glance, but, really it is a stroller for two!

It’s fabric is easy to wash and the frame strong and durable. Comfort and convenience features for birth parent and child make this stroller a high value stroller for the modern family. And, its performance is exceptional.
